With reference to the 21st paragraph of The Forde's Report in the Gazette of the 31st ultimo, I have no objection, in compliance with the Surveyor General's request, to put in writing my recollection of what passed with Mr Maries.
On the 18th September, I was introduced by the Surveyor General to Mr Maries and spent four hours with him in an inspection of the Gardens.
